Lip Assessment – Vital for proper Lipstick Application
Most women select lipstick and beauty products based on preference without considering the fact that the shape of their lips can have an impact on the overall look. Lips generally fall into four types, namely; thin, disproportionate, thin, down-turned corners and lined. These different lip types should be treated differently for as with any other make-up, to each his own meaning one style may work for thin lips yet not for thick and lined ones. Below would be some pointers on how best to bring your lips to light, giving you plump and alluring lips that suits you and your make-up.
Thin lips require lip liners that defines the overall shape, filling them in from the border created by the liner. Create more volume by adding some shimmering mineral lip colors to make them look larger. Asymmetrical or disproportionate lips, use a lighter shade of lip liner going a bit out of the lip line to establish symmetry and then apply smoothing lip color to fill in the lip liner to fill it in. Down-turned lips should be treated with concealer on the edges to diffuse the edge diffusing the normal boundary between the lip and skin. Lined Lips should be lined with a lighter shade of lip liner, filling in with a light shade of lip color that smooths out the texture of the lips. Cover up with mineral lip colors to amplify the look and smoothen the overall texture of the lips. For all the above lip types, using loose powder around the lips to prevent color travel from the lip to the surrounding skin making the lip solid and color rich.
