It is a common misconception to think that the quality of mascara can be dictated by the product�s price. Drugstore mascara can in fact be as good, if not better, as its other counterparts in the market. Now let�s educate ourselves further as we learn the different types of mascara.

The first is the thickening mascara which makes thin eyelashes look bulkier without clumping.

Waterproof mascara prevents unsightly black runs. This type of mascara may be a little too strong for your eyelashes so try applying a little petroleum jelly on your lashes before going to bed for a little eyelash TLC.

Lengthening mascara is suitable for short lashes. This mascara comes with denser applicator brushes so you can get more mascara to the tips of your lashes.

Non-clumping mascara, as its name suggests, prevents clumping when applied to lashes.

The key to finding which mascara best suits you is to know what your needs are. Do you have long or short eyelashes? Is your usual day busy and does it involve a lot of running around so you have no time for make-up retouches? Once you know what you want, you can ask try out the different brands out there.
